I give myself a task to complete. Something which will make a difference in someone's life.. in the positive sense. Try it out.
Else... just divide your day into segments and just assign tasks to complete in each segment and move on. When you get thoughts you don't want to think about... just feed it with other thoughts.

Do try to keep myself busy. If nothing else, there is FaceBook. When I get bored with that, I Factory Reset my phone, or my sister's phone.
There is always some film or the other I can watch.
When it gets too much to take, there is sheesha.
