Today my Twitter feed went crazy after the shooting incident (Connecticut) was reported. Everyone is 'appalled'.

I am disgusted/disturbed… but my reasons extend beyond the loss of innocent lives.

My reasons are:

These are equally 'appalling' incidents that happened around the same time. Yes, I understand that in the Connecticut incident there were deaths… but is it necessary to wait for something as extreme as DEATH for people to get appalled and feel the need to take corrective/preventive/decisive measures??

Read about the incident in China later... the Connecticut incident has been all over the news... read it last night on a cake blog. And the Bangalore incident... just read it from your blog.
As valuable as human life is, I especially cannot understand the attitude of people who target little kids...they are innocent, and helpless and in most cases not in a position to protest... what part of one's self importance does harming someone like that cater to?!

It's not just you who missed these stories... Apparently, even the world media is not interested unless it involves Sex / Mass Murders/Deaths / Celebrity / Royalty / American (not necessarily in that order).

Pathetic state...
