Table Connect

If you thought the iPad was cool – CHECK THIS OUT.

The table hooks up to your iPhone and you have a 58" replica!

Of course, would be a little difficult to steer your car for all the racing games (like Asphalt 5), but some of those games have the option to change the controls from tilting the phone to steer to placing a steering wheel on one side.

Angry Bird would be a lot more fun on this table though.

Dexter - Season 5

Done with the first 5 episodes.

Absolutely delighted that Rita (Julie Benz) is dead. The only other person I had a problem with was Astor (Christina Robinson) and glad that she is out of the picture (for now at least). Just can’t stand kids like her. Never had a problem with Cody (Preston Bailey), it was just Astor that would piss me off. Takes after Rita, I guess.

Lumen (Julia Stiles) err, not happening. I have always found LaGuerta (Lauren Velez) annoying and I don’t see why she has to be such a difficult bitch for everything.

Officer Cira Manzon (April Lee Hernandez) – No comment, for now.

Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) is fine and so is everyone else.

“My Number” Not Showing On BlackBerry

The other day a friend of mine was complaining that he couldn’t get his number to show (when making an Outgoing call) on the BlackBerry and it has always been displayed as UNKNOWN. Personally, I don't see how that makes any difference, but - seemed to be bothering him a lot.

Turns out, there were quite a few of my friends who didn’t know where to set that up. One of the suggestion was “your Service Provider should set it up for you”.

Perhaps the Service Provider might be able to do it, but there is a much easier way. This is how you do it:

  • Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
  • BlackBerry Key > Edit SIM Phone Number
  • Type out your Phone Number

Yes, that’s it.

Merlin – Season 3

Done with the first 7 episodes. Definitely better than Season 2, but not something I would be recommending. The characters continue to be lame (albeit considerably less as compared to Season 2) and the lack of eye candy is not helping.

Interestingly enough, BBC just announced that there will be a Season 4.

Saude Bazi - Encore

Irshad Kamil …

Main kabhi bhoolunga na tujhe, chaahe tu mujhko dena bhula
Aadatein jaisi hai tu meri, aadaten kaise bhuloon bhala

Sauda ye waadon ka hai, yaadon – iraadon ka hai, lele tu waade chaahe tu to mukar bhi le
Sauda ishaaron ka hai, chaahat ke maaron ka hai, lele ishaare mere inka asar bhi le

A very interesting sound. Reminds me of another song/jingle. Just can’t put my finger on it.

Psst, about the video – ít’s from YouTube and the uploader got the name of the singer wrong. This version of the song has been sung by Javed Ali

Knight And Day

As much as I despise Cameron Diaz, I was able to not only sit through this film, but also enjoy parts of it. Definitely not something I would categorise as a must watch. At best, it’s a time pass film.

Sort of Bollywood-ish, but a major difference is - most of Bollywood is ‘unintentionally funny’ (crtsy: thevigilidiot). In case someone didn’t understand the term ‘unintentionally funny’ – please visit

Tissues For ‘What-Not’

And... what the hell is SPECTS? I am sure they meant "Specs" because SPECTS means something completely different (although many people seem to use it instead of "specs").

Definition of Spects

Proposition 19 – Yaaay!

On November 2nd – VOTE YES for Proposition 19!

Cute video.

Something I have been proposing for years (and continue to propose/suggest at every given opportunity). There have been people who just don’t get the logic. Some who will NEVER get the logic. As I have highlighted over and over again – Common sense is rather uncommon these days.

The ones who don’t understand the point – One can try to explain it to them. But there is this group of ridiculous ‘Holier Than Thou’ prudes / morons who REFUSE to understand the point. They can’t be helped.

It’s not always easy to ignore them either. They seem to find their way to where you are and start barking out loud. Bloody parasites.

Love this ad!

The ad is actually 33 seconds, but the video has been looped for about 5 minutes (from the official site itself).

As much as I hate flips / clam shell phones, I wouldn’t mind having one of these. Just for kicks.

Now THIS Is What I Call A Light Show

CWG 2010 Delhi – Closing Ceremony

I didn’t bother with the opening ceremony. Well actually, I didn’t bother with the closing either but did catch a bit on the tele. They were just going on and on about it on every channel.

I will admit, the fireworks were nice. The other thing I liked was the Scottish Armadillo stadium thingy (I have included the video). NICE!

The yapping about the army and navy bands – I am not saying it didn’t look good. It did. I wasn’t expecting anything less from them. But, err.. this wasn’t a Republic Day or Independence Day parade. So.. err.. why bring out the army band?

When I saw the highlights on the news channel, my first reaction was “So, did they bring out the tanks, the MIGs and the missiles as well?”

The other crap they kept showing in the highlights was the Musical Treat. Thousand dancers, well err, they were just running around and I couldn’t make out what the hell they were doing.

Yes, I didn’t watch the full thing. BUT in the highlights aren’t they supposed to show the BEST of what happened? If what they showed was the best, then I am glad I didn’t watch the entire thing.

Chuck the dancers routine - lets talk about the singers on the stage. What the fuck were Sukhwinder and Kailash Kher wearing? Saale band waale lag rahe the! Ila Arun OMG! Ghaati! But that’s just talking about the appearance and we all have different tastes.

The choice of songs… hmmm interesting. Now I can understand why you would play Chak De India, or We Are The Champions or We Will Rock You. What I don’t understand is - how does one figure that the following songs have ANYTHING to do with the spirit of the games or Delhi or Winning or Culture or National Pride or ANYTHING of any relevance:

  • Sajda
  • Ibn Batuta (Ishqiya)
  • Desi Girl (Dostana)
  • We Twist (Love Aaj Kal)
  • Aayo Re Maaro Dholna (Shubha Mudgal’s some album)
  • Jee Kar Da (Singh Is King)
  • Akh Ladh Jaana (Love Aaj Kal)

The audio quality was pathetic. The mixing was SAD (to say the least) from the very beginning itself. Listen to it yourself! Listen to Sajda.

I have put up the video of that too. Well the first part at least. It’s the light show (which doesn’t work for me unless I am high) and the MUSICAL TREAT (ROTFL) starts at the 3 minute marker. I am sure you can find the rest of it on YouTube easily, if you are that curious.

Now if this is what I am watching in the HIGHlights, it’s obviously going to be a little difficult for me to understand what did the press find AMAZING and SPECTACULAR in this part of the closing ceremony.

The Scottish Thing - Loved IT

Diamond Covered iPhone4

Another one of those things I will never understand.

Stupid Spying School Settles

A while back I had posted about Lower Merion School District spying on their students through school issued laptops using spyware.

The school’s insurance carrier agreed to cover the legal fees. So now, the suit is settled and the spyware use has been abandoned. What I would really like is - the genius who had come up with the stupid idea and the moron who approved it, be thrown out of the school (at least).

Windows Phone 7 WILL Have Copy And Paste – In A While

A while back, I had put up a post Windows Phone 7 – No Copy And Paste.

As it turns out, someone at Microsoft decided to use their head and finally realised it was just stupid not having the function. Always nice to see a moron getting an intelligence shot. Yes - it will support Copy and Paste, after the updates are launched early next year. Link

Of course it would have been so much better if someone would have realised this earlier and not said crap like “Based on our user research, we have concluded that people don’t use copy and paste very often” (eyes rolling).

It was the same yap session where Todd Brix said Windows Phone 7 WILL NOT have Copy and Paste, and Microsoft will NOT be working on it in the future, either.

Body Area Network - BAN

Leuven, Belgium and Eindhoven, The Netherlands – October 5, 2010

Imec and Holst Centre, together with TASS software professionals have developed a mobile heart monitoring system that allows to view your electrocardiogram on an Android mobile phone. The innovation is a low-power interface that transmits signals from a wireless ECG (electrocardiogram or heart monitoring)-sensor system to an android mobile phone.

The newly-developed low-power interface wirelessly transmits bio-signals retrieved by imec and Holst Centre’s Human++ BAN sensor nodes to an Android mobile phone where the data are collected, stored, processed, and sent over the internet to make them available for authorized users such as a physician.

The interface is based on a standard Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) interface on Android mobile phones, enabling the integration of all the features available on Google’s operating system (SMS, e-mail and data transmission over the internet, GPS to track user location).

Laptop To LCD

Been wanting to do this for a while, but have been too lazy about it. Finally got it done yesterday.

Earlier, if folks wanted to watch a movie I had downloaded - I would drag one of the laptops to their room and plug in the connectors. Laptop would be on the floor and the cables made a mess. Once the movie was over, had to unplug the cables and drag it back to my room.

Always wanted to set it up properly in a way that there wouldn’t be a mess and I wouldn’t have to keep dragging the laptop around.

Finally got around to sorting it out. Took one of the laptops (that I was using primarily as an external hard drive) and hooked up the cables to the tele. Got a few Cable-Covers to avoid the mess and it’s all in place now.

Definitely more convenient this way and I am so glad I found some use for at least one of the laptops I didn’t bother with anymore.

Ghamon Ne Gher Liya Hai Mujhe To Kya Gham Hai

Sardar Anjum…

Ghamon ne gher liya hai mujhe to kya gham hai
Main muskuraa ke jiyuunga teri khushi ke liye
Kabhi kabhi tu mujhe yaad kar to leti hai
Sukuun itna saa kaafi hai zindagi ke liye

Ye vaqt jiss ne palat kar kabhi nahin dekha
Ye vaqt ab bhi muraadon ke phal laataa hai
Vo mod jiss ne humen ajnabi banaa daalaa
Us ek mod pe dil ab bhi gungunaataa hai

Fizaayen rukti hain raahon par jin se hum guzre
Ghataayen aaj bhi jhuk kar salaam karti hain
Har ek shab ye sunaa hai falak se kuch pariyaan
Vafaa ka chaand humaare hi naam karti hain

Ye mat kaho ki muhabbat se kuch nahin paayaa
Ye mere geet mere zakhm-e-dil ki rulaai
Jinhen tarasti rahi anjuman ki rangeeni
Mujhe mili hai muqaddar se aisi tanhaai

Smallville - Season 10 Episode 03 - Supergirl

Smallville - Season 10

Done with the first two episodes. Yawnn…

Seriously, wasn’t easy. This show used to be one of my favourites, at one time, but it’s been extremely disappointing for a very very very long time now. Wayyyy too much yapping and drama.

It’s the final season (finally). Leaving everything else aside, the idiot still doesn’t know how to fly!!!

There are plenty of characters in the show that I would love to smack around. But the one I really want to sock is Clark Kent. Will you just shut up about Jor-El and your destiny and all that crap. ENOUGH mate, seriously! Now be a good boy and get on with the up up and away bit.

Bahut nautanki karne lage hain.

Almost everyone would have heard about Microsoft’s Surface, by now. Pretty old news, eh? It’s been over two years and I don’t know a single individual (personally) who has had a proper hands on.

I did see it on the tele and on YouTube. I even posted about it a couple of times, but not sure if I will get to have a go at it anytime soon. Sigh.

Anyways, here is something else from Microsoft that will take it’s time to make it to the average user’s fingertips.

LightSpace combines elements of surface computing and augmented reality research to create a highly interactive space where any surface, and even the space between surfaces, is fully interactive. Our concept transforms the ideas of surface computing into the new realm of spatial computing.

BJP Notice To Congress After Redirected To Congress Website

According to sources, the BJP was worried for the last few months over low hits to its website. Some minor checks revealed surprising results.

When they say Minor Checks do they mean typing a URL in the Address Bar and hitting Enter?

Hang on a minute. BJP’s Website is www.BJP.ORG. and NOT BJP.COM. They wouldn’t have a problem if the owner of bjp.COM was redirecting to BJP.ORG – obviously.

I don’t believe there is any restriction on buying a domain address that would have been available for sale. Now if the new owner wants to redirect it to the Congress’ Website, how is the Congress responsible?

Buying – USD 10 (or whatever)
Redirecting it to the Congress Website – PRICELESS!

I really can’t understand what they seek to accomplish by serving a legal notice to the Congress. First, they should be able to prove that the new owner was acting on instructions from the Congress party. Only THEN do they have a cause for a legal notice.

If I were to consider the notice, I would have thrown it out immediately. Hardly qualifies for any attention from any member of the judiciary.

BTW, there is a TOI article that says BJP.COM was being redirected to AICC.COM (screen shot). AICC.COM is NOT the website for Congress. Probably another typo or yet another oversight on their part. Sigh..

Love The Way You Lie

Love the video.

Still think that Eminem is a retard, but I simply love this video.

Picture 1

The OnSecreen Keyboard will adjust itself for the user. Does seem worth trying out. Sounds interesting, looks impressive (Do check out the video). Love the tag line - “Accuracy not required”.

It’s not officially out yet. Looking forward to giving this a shot.

  • Eliminates touch typing  frustrations
  • Allows for super sloppy typing
  • Helps you type easier and faster
  • Constantly adjusts to the user's "perceived" keyboard and typing style
  • Just type the way you are used to - no gestures, nothing new to learn!

Instead, you just start typing wherever it’s convenient— BlindType analyzes the position of your finger taps relative to each other to determine which characters you’re typing.
