School Spies On Students Through Laptop’s Webcam

High School students have sued the Lower Merion School District in Philadelphia for spying on them using their laptops' built-in cameras

This is just stupid. Not to mention, illegal.

Lower Merion School District provided it’s high school students with laptops which – according to the students – were set up with a software that would enable the school administrators to spy on the students through the webcam installed in the laptop.

For some reason, the school authority thought this was a good idea. Obviously it’s too much to expect people to use common sense anymore, but I guess the school administrators don’t watch the tele or even read newspapers. Someone even with half a brain would be able to conclude that such a stunt can only lead to trouble.

Just in case you had any doubts about just how retarded the school administration is, check this out. A student is disciplined for “improper behaviour at home” (!!??). When the parents show up to school, the Vice Principal shows the parents a photograph taken using the webcam.

Me thinks the Vice Principal is suicidal and definitely needs some Prozac. In addition to a lot of slaps across the face.
