BJP Notice To Congress After bjp.com Redirected To Congress Website

According to sources, the BJP was worried for the last few months over low hits to its website. Some minor checks revealed surprising results.

Link

When they say Minor Checks do they mean typing a URL in the Address Bar and hitting Enter?

Hang on a minute. BJP’s Website is www.BJP.ORG. and NOT BJP.COM. They wouldn’t have a problem if the owner of bjp.COM was redirecting to BJP.ORG – obviously.

I don’t believe there is any restriction on buying a domain address that would have been available for sale. Now if the new owner wants to redirect it to the Congress’ Website, how is the Congress responsible?

Buying BJP.com – USD 10 (or whatever)
Redirecting it to the Congress Website – PRICELESS!

I really can’t understand what they seek to accomplish by serving a legal notice to the Congress. First, they should be able to prove that the new owner was acting on instructions from the Congress party. Only THEN do they have a cause for a legal notice.

If I were to consider the notice, I would have thrown it out immediately. Hardly qualifies for any attention from any member of the judiciary.

BTW, there is a TOI article that says BJP.COM was being redirected to AICC.COM (screen shot). AICC.COM is NOT the website for Congress. Probably another typo or yet another oversight on their part. Sigh..

It's simply lame. I guess not all government entities are tech savvy nowadays!

Besides, all people in India seem to do these days is serve each other notices for absurd reasons! Come on people, there's more to life than legal red tape!
