Dinosaur Head Shaped House … Why?

The rounded forms of this house near Stuttgart by German studio J. Mayer H. conjure up images of a dinosaur's head with big eyes and bared teeth

Hmm… Some may call this 'creativity'. I don't.

The house looks quite nice and more importantly it looks practical... If you disregard that it looks like a Dino head. Enough surface area to catch heat or cool off and sloped and curved to stop snow pile up.
That it looks like a Dino head is secondary... Maybe not to the designer though. :-)

I really wouldn't know about all that BUT, I am sure all of that could have been accomplished with a more... err... NORMAL design structure.

Yes... It would also be boring and like every other house.
This way it is easier to give your address... the house that looks like the dino head. :-) Also, it kind of shows off a personality... a sense of humour and maybe a love of palaeontology!

There is considerable difference between Unique and Odd.

Then again, one man's witch is another man's fairy.

Of course, each to his own. A residence is a personal expression. I guess it hardly matters (to others) what someone's house looks like as long as the owner is pleased with it.
A public piece of architecture on the other hand is a different matter.
