Chennai Express

Being fair - Not as bad as I had expected. Some of the 'jokes' were actually good (surprisingly). Another surprise for me was Deepika. After watching the promos, I was pretty sure I didn't want to see Deepika in those outfits and mouthing those idiotic dialogues in that pathetic accent. BUT, she managed to look great even in this character (not throughout, but for most of it).

Senseless plot - OBVIOUSLY. I mean - it's a Bollywood flick… directed by Rohit Shetty… starring SRK. If anyone is expecting a sensible storyline then THAT person needs help.

For most of the film, it seems that SRK is trying way too hard. It is rather obvious.

Another problem is that there is just way too much Tamil. It isn't a problem for the audience watching this in theatres that show the film with English subtitles (Like in the Middle East). But that would not be the case for most of the theatres in North India (for sure).

The songs are horrible. Not a single hummable track. The 'tribute' to Rajnikanth - err… it is more like an insult (in my view)! Of course, Deepika looks great in the song, but as a tribute to Rajni - this was sad!

Seriously? You found it to be not bad? I found it to be DISGUSTING! An insult to tamilians if you will... And Rohit Shetty seems to be in utter confusion between Kerala and Tamil Nadu...

Overall I regret I wasted the bandwidth downloading this crap...

Let's be fair - My exact quote is - "Not as bad as I had expected". You have absolutely no idea how bad I expected this to be :D (Rohit Shetty + SRK... trust me, this could have been wayyyyy more idiotic).

About the utter confusion of Rohit Shetty - Being completely honest, I don't know the difference between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Probably THAT's why I didn't pick up on things that you would have. (For me - Anything south of B'bay / B'lore = Mallu Land = Madarasi Land = South India).

That's probably why I didn't notice what would have been obvious to you (or a well informed audience).

I did point out that the 'Lungi Dance' song is more of an insult to Rajni than a tribute. In addition, have pointed out that there isn't a single track that can be considered 'good'.

I will try putting up MY edited version of this film (once a proper print is available for download). It will be titled 'Bhaag Deepika Bhaag'. A very SHORT film just with the scenes of Deepika running in slow motion (in my view, the best part of the film).

@BlasphmousB... I doubt he (LordRaj) saw anything else in the movie other than... Er... Deepika running in slo-mo! He hasn't been talking about anything else since! :D
