BMW Dealership gets super stupid

I am sure by now everyone would have heard and read about the issue with BMW Lincoln Nebraska.

In case you haven't, here is a summarized version of what has happened so far

"

BMW of Lincoln, Nebraska posted an auction on eBay for a brand new M3 Sedan for $60,000. Perhaps they were hoping for the kind of eBay madness that would push the price to six figures
the dealer doesn't want to give him the car. Not long after the auction ended, the winning bidder got a call from BMW of Nebraska telling him the auction was "a mistake," and that he couldn't have the car

Now.. the guy who won the bid and wasn't being given the car posted about it on the web.. and obviously gathered millions of supporters who called (the dealership), threatened, abused, requested. bla bla bla bla..
Then it seemed like the dealership got a bit sensible..

"

BMW of Lincoln has agreed to sell me (KEN) the car at a price of 60K, with certain conditions. I'll be going over the conditions with the dealership tomorrow, and I hope to have everything finalized by tomorrow afternoon."

now.. we thought it would be all over .. BUT!

"

Ken came this close to receiving the Bimmer today after his lawyer negotiated away the conditions that were demanded by the dealership. The first was that he not sell the car for two years, and the second was that he somehow "control the press" and end the onslaught of communiqués sent to the dealership by phone, fax, email

Ken was instructed to call BMW of Lincoln today and arrange his deposit over the phone by a certain time, but according to our distressed interlocutor, was instead lectured by the General Manager, one Fil Cataniam, for failing to stop the press from contacting the dealership. He refused to take Ken's credit card info over the phone, in effect reneging on the resolution that had previously been reached by the lawyers.

Lawyer has send a letter to BMW asking for HELP

Give him the car before he sues you seeking punitive damages (In my opinion, he should do that even if he does get the car)

Give him the car for free (a law suit is going to cost a hell lot more). Or, at least say sorry and Waive the documentation charges.

AT LEAST GIVE HIM THE BLOODY CAR!! IT S NOT LIKE HE ISN'T PAYING!!
