Limewire loading freezes at 12%

A friend of mine experienced this problem on his Laptop (running Vista Basic Home Edition). Just thought I would share the solution, incase someone experiences the same thing.

Browse to Limewire.exe file (should be in Program files). Right click and go to Properties. Click on Compatability Tab. Select Compatability Mode for Windows XP. Click on OK.

Now, when starting Limewire, it will pop up with an error message at 19%, saying a SAVED folder can not be found. Click ok and a dialogue box will appear where you just create a new folder by the name SAVED. Thats it.

This might not be the only solution or the easiest solution, but this does work.

@ PETER - Would hardly call it being Smart. Just that, faced a problem, tried a few stunts, one of them worked.

:)

Glad I could help out.
