In my opinion - the best thing would be for the CGF to call off the games. As it is there are reports of athletes withdrawing from the games. Wouldn’t really make that much of a difference.
Why not call it off and rename it to Corrupt Wealth Games and let Kalmadi and Bhanot compete amongst themselves as to who can come up with more crappy explanations for what happened to IRS 7,000 Crores.

What I find fascinating is that India is known to have the infrastructure, the logistics, the know-how and the capabilities to host an event of such magnitude especially after we successfully hosted the Afro-Asian Games a few years ago. But instead of keeping the nationn's best interests at heart, the chance is once again used by unscruplous elements to make some money on the side. Apart from security concerns, there was some issues concerning bids being awarded to companies that didn't fit the profiles and also over-priced bids (something that is common in oil companies in Kuwait).
Does every damn public sector project have to be tainted? Can India not keep it clean at all anymore?
Clearly, they can't.
When the bridge collapsed Sheila Dipshit had the nerve to say that it was ok coz the bridge was never intended for the foreign athletes. x(
