HTC Touch Diamond - Wake up Without Pressing The Power Button
Ok. Having to press the power button to wake up your diamond is inconvenient. At least for me. The Power button thing is just stupid. The stylus wake is cool, but not always feasible (pulling out the stylus, wakes up the phone). My diamond wakes up on pressing the centre button or any of the other hard keys.
A few minutes after I got my diamond, I set it up so it would wake up when I would press any of the hard keys. I thought it was simple enough, but apparently not. Plenty of people still asking about how to wake up the phone without having to press the power button.
I do find it a bit surprising though. I mean.. err.. anyways, this is how I did it:
- Start - Settings - System
- Key Lock icon
- When device is off:
Select - DO NOT LOCK BUTTONS

I guess the solution is simple and it works. Only, that in the "Don't lock buttons" setting, pressing any button (intentionally or accidentally) will turn the device on. The latter is, of course, not desirable.
