Goodbye Janette – Harold Robbins

n58273

Reading Goodbye Janette, AGAIN! It’s one of the first novels I ever read and I love some of the phrases. e.g. I love you but you find new ways to hurt me.

Had this copy for about 20 years. Yeah, I got into reading novels when I was 8-9 years old. Was in relatively good condition so far.

Lent the book to someone. She had it for about a year (I guess) and I seriously doubt she read it. The thing is, I got it back recently and the cover has come off and some pages too. Sucks but then – Shit happens, right.

Anyways, will get back to the book now.

If someone asks me to lend my book/cd/laptop/whatever, if that is close to my heart, I'll either buy a new one(if I can afford) or I'd say NO.

People will NOT value things that YOU value. Infact they will not even care 1% the amount you'd care. Instead of feeling sad about it, I had learnt to say NO.

Well that way, I'm still having my "peace of mind".

I rarely lend out things that are important to me. (great minds think alike :) .. or.. fools seldom differ)

but err.. in this case, it was my ex. Well when she borrowed the book, she wasn't an ex.

Goodbye, Janette

"Well when she borrowed the book, she wasn't an ex." -- Hmmm... point to ponder!

Oh well... I had to do some repair work... haven't started reading though :D

You are welcome...
Any book in a bad condition hurts me... the pain is almost physical!
