God Complex

Picture 1

I have been accused of many things (some of which I didn’t do). I have been called a lot of things (some which I am not). This one was a first.

God Complex! Me!? Someone thinks I have a God complex? Why – just because I am arrogant (or honest – take your pick, I don’t see the difference) enough to admit that I am arrogant?!?

Hang on, let me try to help you out. Here is what google came up with. If you were to look at the screen shot above, you will see that I clicked on two links only. The first one being a wiki link (which this time wasn’t of much help) and the second one is from where I got the following (and I stopped looking):

A person who has a God complex does not necessarily believe he is God. It is believed by others, however, that he may as well believe it. As well as arrogance, other characteristics of such a personality are they are likely to be well educated and hold a powerful position.

For the sake of argument, let’s just assume that you got it right. I do have a God complex. I am not the one who believes I am God. Others do (In this case, YOU DO. If I didn’t know better, I would find this rather flattering).

Given that I am all about free will (and interestingly enough, so is God. Before you go ‘ AHAA ' – do care to remember that majority of the sensible minds advocate free will).

It’s NOT in my nature to thrust my views or opinions on others. I have always been in favour of people deciding for themselves - on their own.

Put all of that together, if you DO think I have a God complex – well knock knock – I have very little to do with it. Don’t try to get into my head. You might not necessarily feel like coming out. Worse – you might not know how to.

Ps. I believe you have an Inferiority Complex, and I don’t need a degree in psychology to see that. Plus – pretty sure you have daddy issues.

Not all of us are blessed with good decision making skills. Some of them are influenced, some of them don't even realize certain important points before making choices.

In that case, it is OUR duty to let them know what is right and wrong. :)

Guide them to safety, after all we humans have certain responsibility towards every living creature on our planet. How many of us realize that? Now probably there could be a few who would change after reading my comments, what if I keep this thought to myself and expect others to realize it themselves?

You get it? :D

Hey Agnel :)

Interesting comment. BTW, my post, was a rant about this.. character.... aah chuck it.

Now coming back to your comment.

Yes, I do realise there are some individuals like that, and frankly - I think the world would be a better place with a reduced number of idiots among us.

Ok Jokes apart (couldn't help myself on that one), I believe the purpose should be to INFORM and not to convince.

Simply put - present you arguments, your views. Share them. Explain them. But the decision ultimately must be that of the individual in question and no one else.

Help them make an informed decision. Your part should be the informing part - not the deciding part.

Will elaborate on this too. Someday :)

I get some attitude from certain guys who call me a wise ass if I give a strong opinion on certain subjects but my point of view is.. if they're stupid enough not to consider that perspective then fuck 'em :)
